JOHANNESBURG – Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, has revealed the National Health Insurance will be financed with money from the Public Investment Corporation.
Funding of the NHI has been central to criticism of the scheme.

Motsoaledi has told eNCA that government is seeking billions of rands from the state-owned asset manager.
Motsoaledi said, “It has not been announced publicly that we are going to use money from PIC to build more hospitals because there something happening in this country which is unfair.” 
“Private hospitals are being used with public money from PIC.”
